WELCOME to Bar-KL Miniature Australian Shepherds

We are a small Hobby breeder located in N Central North Carolina. We are not a kennel. All of our puppies are hand raised. We only have 3 to 4 litters a year so we can devote our time and expenses to the betterment of the breed. We started with the standard aussie and lived out west for a while and got introduced to the mini. The mini’s are just as intelligent and loyal as the standards just in a smaller package.

I have been breeding dogs and grooming for over 25 years. I used to show and now I just enjoy my small breeding program.

We strive to keep the foundation of the Aussie as far as temperament, intelligence and its history of being a working stock dog. They are great little dogs for farm life or as a friend & companion for you & your family.

They are extremely loyal dogs and love to be a part of your life!

Sizes of the Mini's range from 14" - 18" and are well-balanced dogs of medium size and bone.

Aussies come in a variety of colors from Merles ( Blue or Red ) and Tri's ( Black or Red ) with or without copper markings and white.

Aussies can just about excel in anything...Show Ring, Agility, Obedience, Rally-O, Frisbee, etc.

Properly trained & socialized, they do make wonderful companions & family pets!

They can be a little reserved with strangers (not to be taken as shyness), they are generally just sizing up the new person making sure that they are going to be acceptable as a new friend.

All of our dogs are registered with the American Stock Dog Registry.

All of our puppies come with a Health Guarantee and a complete Vet check before they leave to their new homes. They are all up to date on vaccines and wormings.

We have all of our adult dogs eyes checked yearly (CERF). Ask about our incentive program for CERF.
